Don't call your hobbies dumb. Never give that kind of power to other people. If you want to build plastic spaceships and you enjoy it, keep at it. Maybe showcase a couple quietly in the background. You might be surprised what your viewers find interesting. Stay well.

Ben, I've been watching your videos for ages now and can't express how much i looked forward to the piano and tool cleanup. Some of us find it relaxing to watch you take a wire wheel to an old thing and make it look good again. Or even fail in the process. My gf and i would place bets on if you would paint a tool red. your content became a staple of our relaxing time before bed. You enjoyed it, and it made it enjoyable to watch. Would love to see more tool restorations but as you pointed out, life is short and you do what makes you happy! Thanks for everything! Glad surgery went well!

Hey Ben, I'm glad you are doing better. I missed your videos. Remember, you are part of our gang. The tool gang. My videos are for me and the gang. Do more than tools. I do like other activities that people do. As I recall, you were in the music scene. You could make your own music. No matter what, you make videos worth watching.

Ben, Your videos are excellent. Your old piano music is perfect. Most people suck. The SC community (nice people that like cleaning up tools) happen to be the small percentage of the good people. Chin up watch your steak intake and keep doing what makes you you! I could go for some plastic spaceships and clay models.

Nothing wrong with a simple wire wheel and fresh coat of paint. I think that your videos make the hobby very approachable to new folks, and proof that you don’t need a huge shop to do good work. Ben , so glad you are doing better. Remember , we watch you tube videos for several reasons. Some are entertainment , some for knowledge etc. Yours is for many reasons and your demeanor is very calming and not rushed. Always enjoyable. Stay healthy and well my friend.

Life is certainly too short.. and the hell with a-holes and their comments. If the wire wheel, paint and polish is what finishes the job, then so be it. That's what the rest of really do lol. Make these videos for yourself. Nobody else. The ones who enjoy will watch. Thanks for all your time.

Ben, do what you like. I'll keep watching, because part of the attraction is your easygoing demeanor, more so than the content. As far as tool restorations go, what I'm about to say can be taken two ways. Please take it as the compliment that it's meant to be... I always watch Scoutcrafter's videos to see what is POSSIBLE. I always watched your videos for inspiration of what I CAN DO, with my limited time, equipment and skill set. I watch you BECAUSE there's a good chance I can do it too, not to see something I have no hope of achieving. And hopefully as you get better, I get better. THAT is the great value of your videos. But again, make videos that please you. I'll be watching. Thank you!

Making plastic spaceships is NOT stupid. What is stupid is idiots who make disparaging remarks about people who do what they enjoy doing. Have you tried flying model rockets? You could do videos on cleaning up your shop and then mention any tips you may come across. Then you could start doing the Ben Mall Variety Show and not be tied down to tool restorations. ScoutCrafter doesn't limit himself to restorations (and he should expand on that!) and neither should you. Enjoy doing what pleases you and others will appreciate you for it. We can see your talent as a videograper, shaping visual, narration and music to offer us information, helpful hints and, for me, a lovely escape from the madness around us. You are genuine, kind, easy going, and humorous. What a great blend. I am very sorry about your health but also thankful for modern medicine and the miracles performed everyday. Hopefully you are done with surgeries and soon rehabilitation and recovery. Good move on the AC. That will help you alot. Whatever you decide to create, thanks in advance for sharing those creations with us. Ignore the brainless, heartless folks that somehow think criticism is a valid reaction to others' heartfelt sharing goodness in the world. Keep calm and create on!
